How it works

Four seconds from the table to the bar

No download, no account, no waiting. And for you no new till, no engineer on the premises, no contract with a till supplier.

What happens at the table or in the room

The guest holds their phone to the sticker

On the table, at the bar or on the bedside table in the room. Or they scan the QR code on the table stand. Android opens the menu in the browser, the iPhone through an App Clip. Neither needs an app store, a download or a sign-in.

The menu knows where it is and what time it is

The sticker belongs to one table or one room, so the menu knows where it was opened. And it shows what applies right now — breakfast, happy hour, the evening menu, the weekend.

They order without waiting

The next round, something from the kitchen, two beers up to the room. Anything that has sold out never appears in the first place — nobody orders something you cannot serve.

The order lands with your service staff

With the table or room number, so it is clear straight away where it goes. Payment is taken at your end as always, on your existing till or through your hotel system.

What you have behind the scenes

All of it through the browser, from the phone behind the bar just as easily as from the computer in the office.

Changes are there straight away

Adjust a price, rename an item, correct a description: save and it is done. There is no waiting and no step in between — the next guest sees the new version.

🕒

Time-based menus and pricing rules

Breakfast till 10:30 am, afternoon prices till 6 pm, the evening menu from 8 pm, something different at the weekend from during the week. Set it once and after that it runs by itself every day.

🏷️

Categories and filters guests actually use

Room service, bar, breakfast, snacks: your menu is sorted the way your business is. And anyone filtering by flavour, strength or alcohol-free finds it in seconds instead of scrolling through the lot.

🔕

Sold out in two taps

Tap the item, hide it. It disappears from the menu for every guest straight away. When the delivery arrives, one tap puts it back.

📈

Looked at and ordered, kept apart

You see what gets looked at often but ordered rarely. That is the number that tells you what is taking up space in your store room without earning anything.

🏠

Several sites, one place to manage them

If you have more than one venue: assign menus site by site or maintain them centrally, with figures for each site and for all of them together — without signing in again each time.

Why there is no till integration

That is the question we get asked most — and the answer is a deliberate decision, not a missing feature.

An ordering system built on the till

  • Buy a new till or switch to another one
  • Get hold of a TSE and have it certified
  • Hardware on the premises, an engineer on site
  • A contract with the till supplier
  • Usually €139 to €249 a month, modules on top
  • The changeover takes weeks

STARIS

  • Your till and your hotel system stay exactly as they are
  • The ordering system brings no TSE obligation of its own — a TSE being the certified fiscal recording device German tills need
  • No hardware beyond stands and stickers
  • 12-month term, then month by month
  • €149 a month, all in
  • Live within a few days

What that means in practice: STARIS takes no money, prints no receipts and runs no end-of-day close. For your bookkeeping, an order from the table or from a room is the same as the guest saying it to your service staff out loud. STARIS puts nothing on the room bill either — you do that as before. None of it changes your obligations under German till law: what is enough today is still enough with STARIS.
