For hotels, guest houses and inns

At 10:40 pm room 214 would like two beers.
They are not going to ring down.

Your guest holds their phone to the sticker on the bedside table and picks from your menu — seconds later the order is with your service staff, with the room number on it. No phone call, no app, no changes to your hotel system.

€79 or €149 a month. Setup €249. Table stands and NFC stickers for up to 30 rooms included.

An answer within one working day. Prices exclude VAT, business customers only.

This is what the menu looks like in the room — in the browser, nothing to install.

What changes

Six places in your hotel where revenue is left behind today

Not what the system can do. What runs differently in your hotel on an ordinary Tuesday evening.

🌙

The call that never comes

A guest up in their room would like something else to drink. They would have to ring down, disturb someone, perhaps get dressed again and come downstairs. Most of the time they go without — and you never find out that there was an order there. A tap on the sticker by the bed is the one hurdle that costs nobody anything.

🛎️

In the evening there is one person on reception

She is meant to check people in, answer the phone and serve the bar at the same time. When orders arrive typed out and with the room number on them, she has nothing left to take down, nobody to ring back and nothing to ask about — she puts it together and takes it up. The trip is made once instead of three times.

🧳

Two nights. Nobody installs an app for that.

That is why hotel apps do not work in small and mid-sized properties: the guest stays two nights and will not download anything for it. With STARIS, Android opens the menu in the browser and the iPhone through an App Clip — from the camera or with an NFC tap. No app store, no account, no signing in.

🥐

Breakfast, bar, evening menu — each at its own time

You set it up once: breakfast can be ordered until 10:30 am, the kitchen runs until 10 pm, and after that it is drinks only. From then on the menu switches over by itself every day. No guest orders something at 11 pm that nobody is making any more — and nobody has to explain it to them.

📕

The guest directory is always one price behind

Printed guest directories and minibar lists are out of date the day a supplier puts its prices up. Until the reprint arrives, every room carries a price you no longer want to charge — and one a guest will quote back at you at reception. With STARIS you change it in under a minute, in every room at once.

🔢

The order brings the room number with it

The sticker belongs to a room, a table on the terrace or a meeting room — which is why every order says where it belongs. No ringing back to work out who it was. And because the order is tied to a place, nothing lands with you by accident as a collection.

Where the stickers go

A hotel has more ordering points than a restaurant has tables

Anywhere a guest sits or stays can be an ordering point — with a table stand, a sticker or both.

🛏️

Rooms

A sticker on the bedside table or a stand on the desk. Room service and minibar without anyone reaching for the phone.

🍸

Bar and lobby

When nobody is behind the bar in the evening because someone is checking in, the order still does not wait.

☀️

Terrace and garden

The seats furthest from the bar — and, going by experience, the ones where people order again least often. The stands come in a weatherproof version.

👔

Meeting room

The group in the seminar room orders more coffee without anyone getting up and going to find you.

What STARIS deliberately does not do

So that you know it before the conversation and not after it.

We do not touch your hotel system. STARIS puts nothing on the room bill, takes no money, prints no receipts and runs no end-of-day close. For your accounts, an order from room 214 is exactly the same as the guest ringing reception: you post it to the room as before, or take payment at your till.

That is not a missing feature, it is the reason the system is running within a few days and costs €149 a month instead of becoming a project with your PMS supplier. You need no interface, no sign-off and no engineer on the premises — and if you stop at some point, nothing in your systems was ever changed.

Questions from the hotel trade

Does STARIS put the order on the room bill?

No. The order reaches you and you post it — in your hotel system or on your till, exactly as you would with an order taken over the phone. We provide the route from the guest to you, not the billing. That is why you need neither an interface to your PMS nor sign-off from your supplier.

Do we need Wi-Fi in every room for this?

The guest needs internet on their phone — whether that comes from your guest Wi-Fi or from their mobile network makes no difference to the menu. In buildings with thick walls, where the mobile signal is weak, it runs over your Wi-Fi; if the Wi-Fi goes down, it runs over mobile. At your end, one device on duty with a connection is enough: an ordinary phone at reception will do.

We have 40 rooms. What does that cost?

The monthly price does not depend on size: €149 for the ordering system, €79 for the digital menu on its own. Stands and stickers are included for up to 30 ordering points; above that they cost a one-off €6.90 per point — so for 40 rooms, a one-off €69 extra. An ordering point can be a room, a table or a meeting room.

Who sees the order when only one person is on in the evening?

The order appears on whichever device you use for it — usually a phone or tablet at reception. It needs no computer of its own and no installation, the browser is enough. If nobody is there, the order sits waiting like a message on the answerphone, only complete and with the room number on it.

We have no kitchen of our own, only drinks and snacks. Is it worth it?

Especially then, because in your case it is about exactly the orders that never happen today: the second beer, the bottle of water, the snack at ten. Work out with us how many of them would have to add up in a month — at €149, depending on your gross margin, that is a good deal fewer than most people guess. The conversation takes five minutes and costs nothing.

Every other question about price, term and data protection is answered on the pricing page and the home page.
